Back Home Again

Yes, one sememster of college is over! It's gone so fast, and yet it seems like it's been an eternity. We made it through finals alive, and even though that did add extra stress, we did have a good week. Over the weekend we got to spend some time with the Gee family, which was a blast, and not as frightening as I had expected. :) We had an awesome time and they were so kind to have us all over, even though Bri kept mis-behavin'- you can't take her anywhere! Over the weekend, we also had our Christmas dorm party- our last time with our RA: Sam, who graduated this semester. We're sad that she's leaving us, but the good news is that she'll be working at Crown, so we can come bug her anytime! Finals went good for us, of course we won't know for sure until the report card comes, but I'm feeling pretty good about most of my classes.
After we got home Thursday, we went to pick out our Christmas tree! I love all of our Christmas traditions, even the ones that involve walking around in the cold, discussing which tree is too fat, too thin, too tall, or too ugly. ahhh. And that wonderful numb feeling your fingers have when you finally get back into the car after 30 minutes of looking at pine and falling into holes. It really is the most wonderful time of the year! I love decorating the tree, wrapping presents and making Christmas cookies. Of course, when you think about it (which we all know, I don't do often), it makes perfect sense to celebrate the birth of Christ by cutting down a perfectly healthy tree and sticking it in our living rooms!
Annnnyway, enough with the holiday cheer. We're starting work tomorrow and with Christmas stuff, looks like we'll be staying pretty busy the next few weeks. Everyone be safe, and have a great Christmastime with your families!

Finals can be stressful....

I think the picture captures the true Jack Random -- that's what I see all the time at least. The only thing that's missing is Alaina mimicking that face next to Britt!!
